Kelsey and Lin grew up in the South, but met after finding their way to New York City. They quickly discovered they had mutual friends, mutual likes, and similar upbringings - and they never looked back! On their two year anniversary, Lin surprised Kelsey with an evening out at the Marlton Hotel. He got down on one knee, and she said yes as downtown Manhattan sparkled in the background. Even better - Lin surprised Kelsey by flying in her mom and sisters and inviting all of their friends to celebrate their engagement right there in the hotel!
When Kelsey and Lin tied the knot on April 14, 2018, they wanted their day to feel festive and free, with an air of unstructured romance. They planned a day that would feel “thrown together” in the very best of ways, in the beautiful rustic setting that Cedarwood Weddings provides. Looking back on their wedding, Kelsey and Lin cherish their first look the most. Having a quiet moment to appreciate the best day of their lives together is a memory they’ll always hold close. Kelsey also loved Lin’s surprise musical number - singing “Signed, Sealed, Delivered,” while playing the keyboard!
Kelsey and Lin’s wedding was gorgeous - from the cakes to the flowers to the joy of every single person in the room. We’re so grateful we got to play a part in their wedding, and we’re even happier to hear that they plan to watch their wedding video over and over in the years to come.
Cecilia and Ronnie met at Gold’s Gym and quickly fell for each other. After two years together, the couple took a trip out to Denver to visit Cecilia’s sister. Since it was her family trip, she didn’t suspect much - but after a beautiful hike up St. Mary’s Glacier, she turned around to see Ronnie down on one knee. She was surprised, but of course, she said, “Yes!”
At East Ivy Mansion in Nashville, Tennessee, Cecilia and Ronnie tied the knot in a whimsical, elegant outdoor ceremony. Looking back on March 31, 2018, they remember their vows as the sweetest moment of their perfect day - filled with emotion as they got to make their commitment to one another with the support of so many people they both love.
They danced the night away in a garden sprinkled with hanging lanterns - a perfect end to a beautiful day. We really loved being a part of this one, and we’re wishing the happy couple a lifetime of love!

Many things tie Kaitlyn and Brent together as husband and wife. One of the most important? They’re both Gator fans. The couple met - and fell for each other - at the University of Florida, and they’ve been on each other’s team ever since. Six years, an MBA, a medical school degree, and a rescued pup later, they tied the knot.
Kaitlyn and Brent’s wedding on December 16, 2017 was filled with all the things that they love most - family, friends, and Florida. Kaitlin wore three pieces of jewelry for her walk down the aisle - a pearl bracelet borrowed from her mom, a new bracelet from Brent’s mom, and earrings from Brent - his before-the-ceremony gift to her. Their dog, Dixie, was walked down the aisle by Kaitlin’s cousin, and her great aunt and uncle sang a beautiful rendition of How Great Thou Art. One of the most special guests in attendance: Kaitlyn’s brother, who only got leave from the navy the day before the ceremony.
After the couple said, “I do,” they moved the party to the dance floor - with a Florida Gator symbol on it, of course - and danced the night away with family and friends. We loved being able to capture Brent and Kaitlyn’s special day, and we wish them (and Dixie!) all the happiness in the world.

When Will & Graham met at a mutual friend’s birthday party in December 2015, they knew something special was about to unfold. The next week, she messaged him on Instagram. The next month, he planned their first date. And the rest was history. Will proposed on Rosemary Beach, and they began planning the best day of their lives.
September 17 was the perfect day for a wedding at Graystone Quarry in Franklin, TN. Friends and family came from near & far, ready to celebrate two people who are clearly loved by so many. The ceremony beautifully honored Will & Graham’s faith, and the reception was equal parts meaningful words, killer dance moves, and delicious food from Chef Penelope and Dessert Designs by Leland Riggan.
Every moment of Will & Graham’s wedding day was filled to the brim with fun and laughter. They were at ease, enjoying even the craziest moments of the day - because they knew at the end of the evening, they would get to drive off with their very best friend for the rest of their lives. When the doors opened and Graham walked down the aisle, Will remembers that he’d never felt more clearly that he was right where he was always meant to be. Will & Graham say they are who they are because of the people who loved them well throughout their lives, and to share their wedding day with so many of them will always be a memory they treasure. Will & Graham were a dream - Will even offered us a rare bottle of Pappy Van Winkle 20 year as a generous thank you! We were thrilled to work with them on their wedding day, capturing the heart of their wedding and every beautiful detail of the day they call “the beginning of forever.”
Stephanie and Steven have a rare kind of love - the kind that they both knew would last from the moment they met. From their first day together at a music convention, they were inseparable, and their love only great deeper over time. Steven proposed at the gorgeous Blue Lagoon in Iceland, and the couple set about planning the best day of their lives.
Above all else, Steven and Stephanie wanted to make their wedding their own, filled with unique details that would leave every guest feeling as though they knew the couple better than when they arrived. They chose not to have a wedding party, but instead, focused on making each guest feel like a special part of their day. CJ’s off the Square was the perfect location for a small but stunning wedding, and the ceremony was filled with those they loved. Stephanie’s brother officiated the wedding, and they selected nieces and nephews - and their puppy, of course - as flower girls and ring bearers.
Steven and Stephanie wanted their wedding day to feel light, airy, and rustic - but most of all, unique. They brought in many elements of their music careers, like crafting vintage hatch show print invitations and writing their own wedding songs. Looking back, the couple’s favorite moment from their special day was the first look. When they saw each other in that quiet moment, all the stress melted away and, in their words, “everything felt right in the world - it was perfect.” The entire day was filled with love and genuine happiness, and we’re so glad we got to play a part in the best day of Stephanie and Stephen’s lives.
Starr & Alan met at Auburn University, but back then, they had no idea a love story would unfold. It was fitting that Auburn brought them back together, though - they reconnected at a football watch party in Houston years later. We don’t know if Auburn won that game, but Starr and Alan sure did. They made plans for their first date the very next day, and they’ve been together ever since.
Three years into their relationship, Alan joined Starr’s family on a trip to Mexico. After a long day spear fishing, Starr decided on a low-key date night in the city, but Alan had other plans. A sunset stroll on the beach led them to a lighthouse in the middle of town, where Alan got on one knee and asked her to spend the rest of her life with him. Of course, she said yes.
This sweet couple tied the knot in Nashville, TN on November 18, 2017. They chose the lovely Bridge Building as their venue, transforming it into an indoor garden that highlighted the Nashville skyline. Big Events captured this perfectly by using greenery, candlelight and elegant decor to set the tone for the evening. The weather was moody, but the atmosphere was buzzing with energy through every joyful moment of Alan and Starr’s wedding - there was plenty of champagne popping and shoes dancing the night away. It’s so clear to see that this couple is deeply in love - with great senses of humor and gracious spirits to boot! Watching the joy these two had as they celebrated with friends and family was something special. We loved personalizing their story and memorializing moments from their perfect day that they can keep for years and years to come.
Michael and Lauren met on 1/11/11, during their freshman year of college - but it was a few years later, on a medical mission trip to Peru, that their bond truly strengthened. After that trip, they were inseparable. As they grew closer, their favorite pastime became long walks, talking and learning more and more about each other - and falling in love.
Just before Christmas 2016, Michael planned their most special walk around Nashville ever, strolling through the gorgeous lights at Cheekwood before ending at Lipscomb University, their alma mater. Lauren walked up to a candlelit table only a few yards away from where they first met filled with photos and a chalkboard easel that said "Will you marry me?” (Hint: she said yes.)
Michael and Lauren wanted a classic autumn wedding with a timeless look and feel. They got married on 11/11/17 (keeping the 1 theme from the night they first met), in a gorgeous venue with wide open windows that allowed in the gentle sunlight and put the fall leaves on display. Every detail of their special day was thoughtfully put together - a map of Peru, photo collages, coffee & donut puns, and handmade wedding favors injected so much of Michael and Lauren’s personality into the celebration.
Looking back on their wedding, Lauren and Michael loved every celebratory, fun moment, but it’s a quiet one that sticks out the most. Their first look was so special. Michael says he can still hear Lauren’s wedding dress sliding down each stair and hear her shoes on the hardwood floors as she walked toward him for the first time on that day. Both of their nerves melted away once they saw each other - they knew the best part of their lives was about to begin. We loved working with this sweet couple, and we wish them a lifelong “happily ever after.”
Janae & Justin started out as high school sweethearts, but they turned that young love into a romance that will last for a lifetime. After attending college at Purdue together, they packed their bags and began building a life together in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. While on a family vacation to Italy, Justin proposed on the shore of gorgeous Lake Como. Janae, of course, said, “Yes!”
As Janae & Justin planned their wedding, they wanted a classic, romantic day with rustic touches. More than anything, they wanted a relaxed atmosphere for friends and family to celebrate the next chapter of their life together. They found the perfect venue for the day of their dreams in Cedarwood Weddings.
When September 30 rolled around, the wedding was just as Justin & Janae had dreamed it would be - full of family and friends celebrating with them, laughing & dancing the day away. Looking back on their day, the couple remembers looking out over the reception and celebrating not only that they’d just gotten married, but that everyone was having so much fun! Justin and Janae loved the little moments during their wedding day when they felt as if they were the only two people in the world - from the magic of their first look to saying their vows to one another for the first time. We had so much fun shooting Justin and Janae’s day - even though many of their guests never even realized a videographer was on the scene! That was the feel of their entire wedding: easy, natural, and fun. We’re so glad we got to be a part of their lives joining together.
When Carter and Erin met during freshman year at Mississippi State, it was love at first sight - almost. Carter’s friend ended up with Erin’s number after that first meeting, but Carter snagged it from him to ask her out… and after that, the rest was history. Here are Carter’s words about their journey to falling in love: “For our first date, I took her to the nicest place I could think of: Chili’s. We fell in love over Chili's Molten Lava Cake. That year, we spent so much time together that my college buddy made me sign an agreement to not have a girlfriend until after Christmas break. But I only made it until October 28th, 2010 before asking Erin to be my girlfriend.”
October 28th, 2017 was pretty special, too. Their dating anniversary became their wedding day, and it was filled with countless moments that felt just like Carter and Erin - classic, but trendy; romantic, but with plenty of laughter stirred in. They chose a simple color palette at the gorgeous Graystone Quarry. The day was unusually cold, but the ceremony was filled with the warmth of family, from an uncle officiating the ceremony to a cousin singing as Erin walked down the aisle. Music held some of the most precious moments for Carter and Erin - their favorite memories from the wedding include How Great Thou Art being sung during the processional, and their first dance to the romantic La Vie en Rose by Louis Armstrong.
After seeing one of Matt G’s videos, Carter and Erin knew they wanted us to capture their special day, and we were honored to be a part of this classic romance. From the first look to the final wave, every moment was full of meaning. Carter and Erin were sent off to their honeymoon with a special surprise fireworks display - we think it was the perfect lighting to send them into their happily ever after.
