Nashville Wedding Video : Kristin + Jody

Screen Shot 2019-03-22 at 1.36.38 PM.png

Kristin and Jody met at a work training event, and an ordinary day turned into a life-changing one. They quickly became a couple in love, and during a trip to Napa for Kristin’s birthday, Jody got down on one day and gave her the best gift of all - the start of a lifetime together. Oh, and also a gorgeous ring.

The happy couple’s wedding day was classically elegant and absolutely gorgeous. The Schermerhorn Symphony Center was a perfect venue for a traditional wedding, and Kristin and Jody selected beautiful greenery and lighting that added the perfect touch. Looking back on their day, they both remember the “firsts” - their first look together was sweet and tender as they read letters to one another, and the first moment they entered the reception hall, they were overwhelmed by the love and celebratory spirit in the room.

Nashville Wedding Video : Carly + Kyle

Screen Shot 2019-03-11 at 1.27.11 PM.png
Screen Shot 2019-03-11 at 1.21.11 PM.png

Kyle and Carly met in dental school. Carly would work as a dental hygienist for Kyle’s patients whenever she could, and as they got to know one another, they only wanted to spend more and more time with one another. From their first date on, they were inseparable. On a trip to California wine country, they realized that they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together - and Kyle started to plan.

Screen Shot 2019-03-11 at 1.20.14 PM.png
Screen Shot 2019-03-11 at 1.20.31 PM.png

One week after moving to Nashville to be with Carly, Kyle drove her out to Arrington Vineyards. Knowing that wine country held such special memories for them, it was only fitting for him to propose with a beautiful custom ring on the hillside overlooking the vineyards in their now hometown. Friends were hiding to capture the moment with photos, of course - and after Carly said yes, they headed to her parents’ home, where friends and family were waiting to celebrate with them!

Screen Shot 2019-03-11 at 1.23.06 PM.png
Screen Shot 2019-03-11 at 1.21.26 PM.png

Carly and Kyle wanted a timeless, elegant wedding day, and Saddle Woods Farm was the perfect spot. Even when the rain started to pour, the day was perfect - the barn was cozy, and it was the perfect backdrop for the gorgeous neutral colors they’d chosen. During their first look, any worries of frustrations about weather melted away - they were  getting ready to marry the love of their lives, and it was going to be perfect.

Screen Shot 2019-03-11 at 1.22.38 PM.png

Looking back, it’s the little details that Carly and Kyle hold dear. Carly remembers stepping into her wedding dress and knowing it was the perfect choice. She also remembers the tender first dance she had with her dad, knowing that he was proud of the man she’d chosen to marry. Kyle remembers being surprised with a donut board his brother handcrafted for their reception - especially because donuts are his favorite. We loved working with Carly and Kyle, and we’re so happy with their video. Even with the rain, their day was beautiful, and it’s easy to capture the love so apparent between these two. We hope they treasure their highlight film forever!

Nashville Wedding Video : Colyn + Skyler

Screen Shot 2019-03-04 at 9.14.57 AM.png

Colyn and Skyler met in high school, but after heading to separate colleges, they hit five years of radio silence. When they did reconnect, though, the sparks were immediate. Colyn was in a leadership program that only allowed her to be home two days each month, but love doesn’t care about distance - because eight months later, Skyler was down on one knee, asking her to spend forever with him.

Screen Shot 2019-03-04 at 9.13.38 AM.png
Screen Shot 2019-03-04 at 9.15.54 AM.png

Skyler and Colin wanted a deep, natural, reverent wedding day that echoes their faith in Jesus. The vibe was boho and romantic, and it came together beautifully at Cason’s Cove. This couple was filled with peace and excitement as the ceremony drew near - no nerves for these two! Their day was filled with laughter, thoughtfulness, and joy as family and friends gathered to celebrate.

Looking back on their wedding day, Colyn remembers trying not to ruin her makeup as she read Skyler’s letter to her, and Skyler is grateful for the holy moment of communion in the middle of their ceremony. They both laugh thinking about their choreographed first dance - we must say, it went off without a hitch! We’re glad we got to capture these moments, and many more. Shooting a video for these two lovebirds was really fun. We’re so happy for them, and we hope they treasure their video for the rest of their lives.

Nashville Wedding Video : Sam + Clay

Screen Shot 2019-02-26 at 8.24.07 AM.png

Sam and Clay went to rival colleges in the same town, and their paths finally crossed at a local hangout spot, Rodeo Bob’s. Clay knew Sam was the girl for him, and he finally convinced her to go on a double date with two of their closest friends. Soon after, she fell for Clay, too - and four years later, on a trip to Nashville on Sam’s favorite holiday (it’s Halloween!), he proposed. Of course, she accepted, and they set about planning their dream day to say “I do.”

This happy couple wanted a rustic fairytale wedding that was laid-back and fun - for the two of them, of course, but also for everyone in attendance! Sam and Clay knew it was a special gift to have all of their favorite people in one room, and they wanted to give them a party to remember.

Screen Shot 2019-02-25 at 9.29.26 AM.png
Screen Shot 2019-02-25 at 9.33.58 AM.png

The ceremony at Owen Farm was meaningful and magical, and family and friends surrounded them as they promised their lives to God and one another. In fact, the love of family was all over this wedding - Sam and Clay’s moms worked together to make the wedding cakes, Sam’s aunts provided floral arrangements, and Clay’s aunt made all of the cupcakes! Sam wore her mom’s diamond necklace and Clay carried his late grandfather’s ring and pocket knife with him, a special tribute to the lives that have shaped their own.

Nashville Wedding Video : Mekenzie + Austin

nashville wedding video

Austin and Mekenzie met at a 2013 football game, cheering on their Auburn Tigers - sort of. Austin was as excited as the rest of the student section, but as he scanned the crowd, he found one girl sitting down. And even though he couldn’t understand why, he was intrigued. So when he saw her again at the National Championship, he knew he had to get to know her.

Screen Shot 2019-02-11 at 10.17.12 AM.png
Screen Shot 2019-02-11 at 10.16.18 AM.png

After dating through the rest of college and scoring the hard-earned approval of both families, Mekenzie and Austin were doing some pre-Christmas shopping. She noticed he was acting a little strange, but she figured he just wasn’t happy with being out in the mall crowds. Little did she know that on their walk to dinner, he would pull an engagement ring out of his shoe and ask her to marry him! Of course, she said yes. They headed back home, where all of their friends and family had already gathered to celebrate!

The happy couple said “I do” at the Foxhall Resort on May 26, 2018. Their day was rustic, but elegant - and even though the forecast called for rain, it turned out to be a gorgeous day to begin the rest of their lives together. Looking back on their wedding, Mekenzie’s favorite moment was their first look - away from the hustle and bustle of the day, the couple got to cherish a few quiet moments together before becoming husband and wife. Austin remembers the joy of having all their family and friends together in one room to honor their marriage and have fun!

Rebecca and Griffin met during their college years at Samford University. Last summer, Griffin took Rebecca to the beautiful mountains of Boone, North Carolina, where his family’s vacation home is tucked away. After a rainy day, the clouds broke just in time for a spectacular sunset - and along with it came a spectacular proposal. She said yes!

The happy couple chose Graystone Quarry for a wedding that was classic and elegant, but tons of fun! With gorgeous rocks and natural greenery as the backdrop to their “I dos,” Rebecca and Griffin tied the knot in a ceremony filled to the brim with faith and love. They opted not to do a first look, so they both cherish the moment those chapel doors opened and their eyes met for the first time. More than anything, they’re grateful for the once in a lifetime opportunity to be surrounded by family and friends from every season of life in one room. Their special day was truly a celebration from start to finish!

Nashville Wedding Video : Briana + Patrick

Screen Shot 2019-01-23 at 1.18.31 PM.png

Briana and Patrick met in school, both studying to become anesthesiologists. Just a few days before her 30th birthday, Patrick told Briana he had a surprise for her. She assumed it would be a birthday gift, but when the car started to drive her “down memory lane,” stopping at their first date spot, the place they first kissed, and the place they exchanged “I love yous” for the first time, she knew something big was in store.

Screen Shot 2019-01-23 at 1.09.06 PM.png
Screen Shot 2019-01-23 at 1.08.30 PM.png

Patrick got on one knee on the walking bridge, and Briana, through tears, said yes! They walked to grab dinner, where a dozen friends were waiting to celebrate, including her best friend from Asheville! Patrick had pulled off the perfect surprise, and he’d even recorded it all with a GoPro, so Briana could look back on it forever. (As videographers, we approve of this, of course.)

Screen Shot 2019-01-23 at 1.08.47 PM.png
Screen Shot 2019-01-23 at 1.13.32 PM.png

The happy couple wanted a rustic wedding, one part fairytale and two parts fun! The ceremony was filled with gorgeous details, but when Briana and Patrick think back on their wedding, they remember the people who were there to celebrate with them most. Briana’s bridesmaids reminded her throughout the day to soak in every moment. Patrick lost in rock paper scissors, so Briana got to shove cake in his face. And the dance floor is where this couple really shone - they look back and laugh about how much fun they had breaking it down with all of the people they love most. We loved capturing Briana and Patrick’s wedding day, and we loved getting to know them, too! We know they’ll look back on this day with joy forever.

Anna and Brock met at a concert in Nashville in 2015. Anna asked Brock to take a picture of her friend group. They started chatting, and the rest was history. Just a couple of months later, they began dating. A year after that concert, Brock got down on one knee in Anna’s home and asked her to marry him. It was a simple, but sweet proposal, and after Anna said yes, they spent the evening sharing the good news with their family and friends!

Carnton Plantation, with its gorgeous outdoor setting and classic atmosphere, was the perfect place for this couple to exchange I do’s. Surrounded by friends and family, they pledged their lives to God and to one another.

Kylie and Derrick met at culinary school, and immediately fell hard for each other. In the six years since, they’ve become quite the dynamic duo - they even own three restaurants together! On Kylie’s birthday, Derrick got her family together and concocted a plan. When they arrived in San Diego for her birthday getaway, she walked into the room to find rose petals everywhere, along with a sign that read, “Will you marry me?” She said yes, of course - and then her family jumped out from their hiding spots to celebrate!

Raeanna and Nic had a long, winding journey to love. They first met in 2012 at LifeChurch. In 2017, Nic proposed on the sidewalk right outside the church doors. All those years later, their love story came full circle - their little girl, Rayleigh, even held the ring for Nic as he proposed!

Raeanna and Nic wanted their wedding to feel southern and classic, with a French flair. They opted for a simple outdoor ceremony at Gunn Farm, complete with stunning florals and sunny skies. The ceremony was filled with special moments, with the couple’s faith at the center and their friends and family surrounding them. The reception was nothing short of a blast - cold beer, delicious donuts, and great tunes had the whole room dancing the night away!

To Jenna’s shock, he got down on one knee with the Nashville skyline in the background and popped the question! Turns out, their friends weren’t late - they were part of the scheme. Incognito photographers were even nearby to capture the moment. After Jenna said yes, Shane brought her to the George Jones Museum rooftop, where she found family and friends waiting with champagne to celebrate!

Leeanna and Elias actually met on Instagram - a true modern day romance. They connected online through mutual friends, and soon, Elias was making a road trip to meet Leeanna in person. They hit it off immediately, and months of dating via FaceTime eventually led to Elias moving to be near his lady. Before a concert one evening, he asked Leeanna if she’d like to take a walk around the park. To her shock, he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him! After an elated “yes,” they continued down the path, where her family was waiting to celebrate.

Looking back on their day, the couple especially treasures their first look together, having a moment to take in all their emotions, and the thoughtful moments their families created for them throughout the day. The ceremony was beautiful, and the reception was a joyous celebration. Meg and Nate met in graduate school at the University of Tennessee. Near the end of a spring semester, some mutual friends of theirs threw a Cinco de Mayo party. They met over guac and quest (the perfect way to meet someone, really), and they connected right away. Nate asked Meg on a date the very next day. After a long hike in Knoxville, they knew this relationship was a good one - and they’ve been together ever since.

Screen Shot 2018-11-16 at 10.40.10 AM.png

On Christmas Eve, Meg and Nate went on a morning hike at Radnor Lake in Nashville with his family. It’s one of their family’s favorite traditions, and she was excited to join in, but she never could’ve guessed what was about to happen! As they walked by the beautiful lake, Nate pulled out a ring and dropped to one knee - and Meg said yes to the best Christmas present ever.

The happy couple chose Mint Springs Farm for their special day, knowing that it would give them that timeless, classic feel while still bringing in casual outdoor elements that they both love. They knew they wanted to get married outside, surrounded by lush greenery. They loved every moment of their wedding day, and they were overwhelmed with joy and gratitude at the crowd who was there just to honor them and celebrate their marriage. But looking back, their favorite moments were actually those away from the crowd. Sneaking away between the ceremony and reception to take photos and just be with one another for a few minutes is something they’ll never forget.

Nashville Wedding Video : Macy + Jared

Screen Shot 2018-11-07 at 9.39.25 AM.png

Macy and Jared met in 2012 at Tennessee Tech. Jared’s fraternity needed help putting together a cheerleading routine for a homecoming pep rally, so as a cheerleader, Macy and some friends volunteered to help. All it took was one cheer routine. Macy and Jared hit it off, and they never looked back.

Screen Shot 2018-11-07 at 9.37.02 AM.png
Screen Shot 2018-11-07 at 9.33.57 AM.png

Last year, Macy headed to visit Jared for his medical school’s white coat ceremony in Memphis, and on that visit, they began to talk about their future. Macy mentioned that she didn’t want an elaborate proposal - no scavenger hunts, poems, or friends hiding in the bushes. Little did she know, Jared had a ring in his pocket as she was speaking! As they headed to dinner that evening, Jared popped the question, simply and beautifully, just like she’d imagined. Of course, she said yes!

Screen Shot 2018-11-07 at 9.34.28 AM.png
Screen Shot 2018-11-07 at 9.40.24 AM.png

Macy and Jared chose Duck Pond Manor for its classic southern charm, and June 16th turned out to be a gorgeous summer day. Every detail of the wedding was a snapshot of a Tennessee summer, from the berry tones and greenery to the BBQ dinner. As they think about their wedding day now, their favorite moments were the quiet corners in the midst of wedding craziness. Their first look was a special moment for the two of them to share before walking down the aisle, and Macy’s grandfather stopped by before the ceremony to share some wisdom from his own 62 years of marriage. We loved capturing this gorgeous summer wedding for this sweet couple, and we wish them all the best in their new life together.

Katherine and Carter met in high school, and knew right away that they wanted to spend their lives side by side. They dated through high school, college, and grad school! On a trip home to Charleston, where Carter is from, he surprised Katherine with a romantic walk down the waterfront park. As she took in the rolling waves and the beautiful sights, he turned around and got down on one knee. She’d always known that when this moment came, she would say yes to Carter - and that’s exactly what she did!

Their Nashville wedding on June 9th was beautifully understated, full of gorgeous neutrals and classic details. Their day was filled with joy from start to finish. Even before the wedding, their bridesmaids and groomsmen were a blast, laughing and celebrating what was ahead. Looking back on their day, their favorite moments were on the dance floor, knowing that they could dance the night away with all of their favorite people before heading off to a brand new life together.

Nashville Wedding Video : Carly + Wilson

Screen Shot 2018-10-09 at 10.48.27 AM.png

When Carly first moved to Nashville, she headed to a party at a friend’s house, hoping to meet some new friends. She tried to arrive fashionably late, but ended up being one of the first party guests, along with a guy named Wilson. They began chatting - and they never stopped. Wilson called her the next week to ask her on a date, and they connected right off the bat.

Screen Shot 2018-10-09 at 10.44.09 AM.png
Screen Shot 2018-09-04 at 8.51.52 PM.png

One morning, Carly headed to the barn to ride her horse, knowing she was going to spend the day with Wilson later on. When she returned home, a picture and a poem were hanging on her front door - the start of a scavenger hunt! The clues led her all around Nashville, ending in Sevier Park with Wilson down on one knee. As soon as Carly said yes, their parents joined them in the park for a spontaneous celebration!

Carly and Wilson’s wedding was bright, summery, and fun. They wanted to have an elegant but casual celebration with lots of personal touches, including horse shoes as escort cards and custom cocktails named after their alma maters. After a beautiful ceremony with handwritten vows and gorgeous flowers, the happy couple headed to the dance floor, where they stayed all night long!

Screen Shot 2018-10-09 at 10.46.03 AM.png

This wedding was an absolute blast, and we loved capturing it on video. Carly and Wilson wanted a video team that would blend professionalism with personality, and we’re thrilled that they have footage that will take them back to that special day anytime they want.

Nashville Wedding Video : Tayler + Max

Screen Shot 2018-10-04 at 10.15.57 AM.png

Tayler and Max met in middle school, started dating in high school, and never looked back. They just knew they’d found the one. After nine years together, the couple decided to just do small gifts for Christmas. Tayler got Max a Tennessee Vols ornament. Max got Tayler an engagement ring. It have have technically fit the bill for a “small gift”, but it was the very best gift of her life!

When Tayler and Max tied the knot on May 19th, they chose Graystone Quarry as the perfect venue - elegant, but easygoing, with beautiful views to boot. The day was filled with love from start to finish. When the couple looks back on their perfect day, they remember so many perfect moments - sweet ones, like Tayler’s dad when he saw his girl in her wedding dress for the first time, and funny ones, like the dance moves some of their guests busted out at the reception. They thought they’d be nervous on the big day, but they looked at each other as the ceremony closed and whispered, “That was perfect.”

Nashville Wedding Video : Sara + Jonathan

Screen Shot 2018-08-27 at 7.51.19 PM.png

Sara and Jonathan met in the second grade, and spent their school years as friends. But a few years after college, Sarah reconnected with Jonathan while on a trip to Nashville, and everything changed. The moment he picked her up from the airport, she felt the sparks fly. Looking back on it now, she says she knew he was the one right then. And she was right! Jonathan proposed on the beautiful beaches of Destin at sunset, and he even arranged for her family to be there to witness the moment she said yes.

Screen Shot 2018-08-27 at 7.50.59 PM.png
Screen Shot 2018-08-28 at 10.39.17 AM.png

March 3rd was a beautiful day for Jonathan and Sara to begin their new lives together at Mint Springs Farm. The weather was every bit as gorgeous as the venue, and family and friends gathered to watch the happy couple say, “I do.” Sara and Jonathan wanted their wedding to be simple, cozy, and full of love - and it was! Rather than packing each moment full of activities, they planned a day that would allow them to soak in every minute and every emotion.

Screen Shot 2018-08-27 at 7.53.11 PM.png
Screen Shot 2018-08-28 at 10.38.06 AM.png

When the barn doors opened and Sara began to walk down the aisle towards Jonathan, the couple remembers feeling surrounded by love and peace. They had each found their person, and getting to declare that love to one another in front of family and friends was a moment they’ll never forget. Jonathan says, “When they announced us as husband and wife, I just couldn’t stop smiling, soaking in the moment that was finally here.” When they think about their wedding day, Jonathan and Sara remember not only the love they have for each other, but the love that their community poured out on them throughout the day.

Nashville Wedding Video : Brooke + Cannon

matt g video, nashville wedding videographer, nashville wedding

Brooke and Cannon met at a fundraising auction in 2015. As soon as Brooke walked in, Cannon knew he’d found a special woman. As the prizes were being announced, he leaned over and said, "If I win this brunch, will you go with me?" She responded, “Sure.”Cannon didn’t win the brunch - but ultimately, he won the girl. The couple started dating a few weeks later, and the rest was history.

Screen Shot 2018-08-14 at 7.59.55 PM.png
Screen Shot 2018-08-19 at 5.11.00 PM.png

Sixteen months later, Brooke and Jason headed to “meet some friends” near the monuments in DC. But to Brooke’s surprise, there were no friends at their meeting spot - just Cannon, one one knee, with a ring. She said yes, of course! The happy couple headed to The Dubliner, where friends and family were waiting with open arms and plenty of champagne!

When Brooke and Cannon were searching for the best location for their dream wedding, Nashville, with all its energy and heart, was a perfect fit. The Cordelle’s beautiful wood floors, aged original brick, iron elements, and southern style deck set the perfect stage for a November ceremony. The couple added a personal touch to every aspect of the day - from candlelight and greenery to incredible food and cornhole on the lawn. They even ordered late night pizza during the reception!

Screen Shot 2018-08-19 at 5.15.13 PM.png

Looking back on their special day, Brooke and Cannon remember the entire day exploding with the support and kindness of all those they love most - and their love for each other deepening with every moment. They remember the morning storms clearing for the perfect outdoor afternoon wedding, and savoring every moment they got to be together, just the two of them, in the midst of their crazy and wonderful day. Brooke and Cannon are so much fun, and we loved getting to capture their wedding day. Cheers to the happy couple! We wish you many more years of adventures to come.

Nashville Wedding Video : Emery + Marshall

nashville wedding video, matt g video, nashville wedding videographer
Screen Shot 2018-08-14 at 7.39.37 PM.png

Don’t be surprised if Emery and Marshall’s story becomes the next great romantic comedy in Hollywood. It goes a little something like this: Girl moves to a new town, doesn’t know a soul, and runs out of gas. She heads to the nearby dog park with her goldendoodle, hoping to find a friendly face. Girl meets boy, who happens to have a pup, too, of course. The dogs become best friends - and the people? They fall in love.

Screen Shot 2018-08-14 at 7.41.40 PM.png

Marshall and Emery’s love story only grew as time passed, and when Emery had to head to a new city for six weeks for job training, Marshall planned a special date before she left town. On the date, he seemed nervous. Emery didn’t know what was going on with him - that is, not until he got on one knee in the Oklahoma City botanical gardens and asked her to marry him. She said yes, of course, and they headed to the restaurant, where both of their families were waiting!

Screen Shot 2018-08-14 at 7.41.21 PM.png
Screen Shot 2018-08-14 at 8.02.27 PM.png

Emery and Marshall chose her grandparents’ home for their wedding day, transforming their backyard into a stunning secret garden. It was the perfect backdrop to an intimate ceremony with those the couple cherishes most. Emery loves remembering Marshall’s face as she walked down the aisle, and all the butterflies hidden in the wedding day decor - special nods to her father, who had passed away a few years prior. Emery’s mom even surprised the couple with their favorite painter at the reception, who painted the gorgeous scene as they swayed to their first dance. Working with Emery and Marshall was such a dream - even though they said they barely noticed our cameras all day! - and we’re excited to give them a video that will help them relive their magical day forever.
