You know the story. Boy meets girl… or in this case, girl’s mom on a plane. Stephanie and Jake’s story has one of the best beginnings of all time. On a flight to Nashville, Jake helped a lady stow her carry-on bag, they started to chat, and she mentioned that he might love her daughter. Jake left his business card with Stephanie’s mom — and after a few months, Stephanie finally looked him on a social media and sent him the message that really started it all. They became friends for a few years, and in 2016, they started dating and never looked back.
On a vacation to the couple’s favorite spot in Oregon in 2018, Jake planned the ultimate surprise. Even on a 30 degree day on a snowy mountain, he managed to warm Stephanie’s heart with a hilarious, endearing moment on one knee — and of course, a beautiful ring didn’t hurt in sealing the deal, either.
The couple chose the Noelle hotel in downtown Nashville as their venue to say, “I do,” and they created a fun Gatsby theme to play up the hotel’s art deco style. Their cascading flowers and vintage touches were perfect. After an intimate ceremony, sharing vows in front of their family and friends, Stephanie and Jake headed down to the hotel’s speakeasy for some one-of-a-kind photos and an amazing reception.
Stephanie admits that she was nervous about having a wedding video — the fears of your day being portrayed as cheesy are real! — but looking back, she says it’s one of the best decisions she made for her wedding day. Having professionals on hand to wrangle the wedding party, catch those tiny special moments, and capture the best day of their lives was an addition Stephanie and Jacob are really grateful they chose. We’re so glad they did, too! We wish them all the best in their new chapter of lifelong love.
