Lindsay and David are lovers of the outdoors. In fact, it’s what brought them together! They met at a 2016 wildlife expo, and they hit it off right away. David actually caught the flu during the trip, but these two were already so head-over-heels for one another that they spent the week together anyway. What’s a little flu in the face of love, right?
One day, a friend of David’s was having “boat trouble,” and David brought Lindsay along to help him figure out the problem. He asked her to go to the front of the boat to look for some things, and when she returned, he was on one knee with a ring in his hand (and a GoPro set up to capture it all, unbeknownst to her)! They joined friends and family for a celebratory crawfish boil - with champagne, too, of course.
David and Lindsay wanted a classic, romantic wedding, with live oaks and Spanish moss to give it a true Charleston feel. They chose white, blush, and lots of greenery to mix with the outdoors and the historic venue, and everything came together beautifully. As a special touch, the couple planned strategic moments throughout their day to slow down and appreciate the start of the rest of their lives. Some of our favorites: a meaningful first look with letters for one another, a moment to look out at the congregation and take in their support and love, and even a few minutes to dig up bourbon they’d buried onsite earlier - it’s good luck!
Evidence of family and friends’ love was all over this wedding, from a cross that Lindsay’s dad built for the ceremony to corn hole boards hand painted by David’s dad for the guests to enjoy (Clemson and UGA, of course). Both of their parents’ wedding photos were on display, too - a tribute to a legacy of love.
We’ve known Lindsay and her family for a while - we actually we got to film her sister’s wedding five years ago! - so we knew working with this couple would be pure joy. We had a blast, and we wish Lindsay and David all the best in their marriage. We hope their wedding video will remind them of the happiest day of their lives for years to come.
